Florida Driver Hits Medical Helicopter

In Kissimmee Florida a helicopter responding to a pedestrian auto accident was struck by a suspected drunk driver. The incident occurred on U.S. Highway 192 close to S.R. 429 around 2 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a medical chopper was on the scene in the roadway responding to a previous accident when a driver passed the road block and hit the tail of the helicopter. The driver of the car was identified as 20-year-old Cameron Sunderly. Troopers reportedly performed a sobriety test on Sunderly following the crash. He was charged with DUI and taken into custody. The local authorities are investigating the crash.
